"Pratahkal, a Hindi daily newspaper published from Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur was founded in 1979 in Udaipur. It was inaugurated by Shri L. K. Advani, the then Central Information and Broadcasting minister, in Udaipur. Pratahkal was started by Shri Suresh Goyal, the eminent writer and noted journalist of the country, who came from the famous Kagzi family of Mewar, the doyen of which late Gopal Lal Kagzi was the pioneer in establishing the first printing press in Udaipur.
